Are you an experienced Cloud Operations Engineer looking to make a significant impact in the dynamic world of financial data management? Be-IT are delighted to be working with their long standing fintech client on this exciting opportunity within their infrastructure and support team.
- Glasgow or Edinburgh - Hybrid (2 days per week)
- Salary – Up to £50,000.
- Unable to provide Sponsorship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Engagement: Actively participate in operational and development tasks to maintain and enhance our cloud infrastructure.
- Collaboration: Forge strong working relationships with internal teams, external partners, and various business units.
- Tool Proficiency: Regularly use tools like Halo ITSM, Terraform, Azure DevOps, and Git to manage day-to-day tasks.
- Operational Support & Development: Balance responsibilities between supporting existing customers and developing automation and tooling to optimise the deployment and maintenance of customer platforms.
Skills and Expertise:
Required:
- Experience: At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Azure.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Priority Management: Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Technical Expertise:
- Cloud Hosting: Experience with Azure and private cloud solutions.
- Ticket Management: Understanding of ITIL practices and experience with service desk tools.
- System Administration: Proficient in Azure Active Directory/Entra ID, Active Directory, Windows Server 201x, and Linux (CentOS, AlmaLinux).
- Automation Tools: Skilled in using Terraform and Azure DevOps for automation and infrastructure management.
- Version Control: Proficient in Git for version control.
Desirable:
- Database Administration: Experience with MS-SQL, particularly Azure SQL Database.
- Additional Linux Experience: Further experience with Linux (CentOS, AlmaLinux) is an advantage.
- Scripting: Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell or Bash.
