Senior Systems Engineer – Automation, Linux & Networking
- Hybrid – Glasgow 3 days in office / 2 days at home
- Salary £55,000 - £65,000
We are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to join our FinTech client. If you have expertise in Linux administration, automation, and networking, this role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and scalability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain, optimise, and automate infrastructure operations.
- Troubleshoot software, hardware, and networking issues.
- Develop and manage automation with Ansible, Packer, and Terraform.
- Work closely with System Admin, Security, and Ops teams.
- Research and implement new technologies for system improvements.
What We're Looking For:
- 5+ years of Linux System Administration experience.
- Strong networking knowledge (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, Firewalls).
- Expertise in automation and scripting (Bash, Python, PowerShell).
- Experience with LDAP, AD, Git, and on-prem server deployment.
Bonus Skills:
- Windows administration, monitoring tools, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
