Our client are embarking on a transformative journey to evolve and enhance their platform as part of a major outsourcing and technology agreement. They are looking for a Platform Design Architect to lead the vision, strategy, and design for a newly developed strategic platform that will underpin their growth, support a new operating model, and provide cutting-edge capabilities to both their customers and colleagues.
About the Role:
As Platform Design Architect, you will be at the heart of this significant transformation, responsible for defining and shaping the platform vision, designing features and functions, and prioritising the delivery roadmap. You’ll collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure the platform aligns with business priorities while providing thought leadership to guide the design of a new, future-focused platform.
This is a senior, influential role, offering the chance to make a substantial impact on a key strategic initiative. You’ll manage the risk and scope of the platform's design in conjunction with third-party partners and work closely with business and technical architects to deliver a platform that drives exceptional growth and operational efficiency.

You'll build embedded software that will help detect and identify substances in food, medicine, and the environment. You'll be responsible for designing and developing embedded software applications relating to gas chromatography and Mass Spectroscopy.
You'll have experience in:
- Writing bare-metal and RTOS based embedded software in C or C++
- Using ARM based processors
- Controlling and monitoring hardware devices including digital I/Os, ADCs, DACs and stepper motors
- Using communications interfaces including I2C, SPI, CAN, USB and Ethernet.
