The 2022 Be-IT Quality Survey

The 2022 Be-IT quality survey provides a unique snapshot of the how our clients and candidates view our service. This year’s study was split into two separate surveys, one for candidates and one for employers, and was conducted by an independent third party. With our biggest response to date, the study offered a wealth of data and raft of comments. Here are a few of our key takeaways:

Quality of Service to employers

100% of all client respondents scored Be-IT as either ‘good’ or ‘excellent’ for:

  • Speed of response,
  • Understanding their (the client’s) requirements,
  • Follow-up (where relevant),
  • and our overall service

93% ranked us as ‘good’ or ‘excellent’ for the quality of candidates put forward.

92% ranked us as ‘good’ or ‘excellent’ for the ‘fit’ of the successful candidate(s) into the client’s team(s).

Quality of Service to candidates

Some three-quarters rated us as ‘good’ or ‘excellent’ for:

  • Speed of response (72%)

The most important thing candidates seek when working with an agency is “knowledge of the IT market in general.” 62% of respondents ranked this first amongst a list of requirements for an agency, followed by 19% who wanted CV advice.  Third, with 10%, was in-depth knowledge of employers relevant to the candidate.

Communication & engagement with Be-IT

  • 40% prefer to use the phone and another 40% prefer email.
  • 10% prefer social messaging and another 10% prefer video.
  • No-one wanted to use chatbots or text.
  • 85% said they would like to hear updates from Be-IT about a job, even if it’s simply to let them know there is no news for them yet.
  • 71% scored us as ‘good’ or ‘excellent’ for our marketing to clients
  • 100% knew Be-IT produces an annual salary survey – up from 76% in 2021.
  • 50% knew Be-IT produces a Tech Leaders podcast – up from 23% in 2021.
  • 30% knew of Be-IT Projects.

Diversity and Inclusion

  • 100% of respondents say Be-IT is aware of DEI issues.
  • 87% of respondents say Be-IT provides a diverse range of candidates.

While it’s always nice to be on the receiving end of praise, it’s also important that we don’t just focus on the good things but are also cognizant of areas where we need to improve. There are a few areas, notably around helping candidates with CVs and follow-ups for both candidates and clients where we shall strive to improve in the next 12 months. Finally, we must thank everyone (and there were hundreds of you) who took the time to fill out the survey and also Bob and Alastair in our marketing team for all their help.
