We are seeking a Unified Communications (UC) & IT Assistant to support the firm's internal teams and clients, delivering seamless technical support in their state-of-the-art meeting rooms and beyond. You'll collaborate closely with the IT team to ensure smooth operation of AV and UC systems, contributing to the delivery of first-class IT and UC services across the firm.
Key Responsibilities
As a pivotal part of the IT team, your duties will include:
- Providing technical support and coordination for live and hybrid events, ensuring flawless execution.
- Conducting regular room checks and performing preventative maintenance on AV/UC equipment, escalating any issues as required.
- Exploring, testing, and implementing new Unified Communications solutions.
- Assisting with project work related to IT and AV services.
- Operating a range of equipment, including movie projectors, slide projectors, microphones, Polycom, Crestron, Raspberry Pi devices, and more—while also training others in their use.
- Supporting the development and governance of desktop and application standards, images, and processes to optimise IT services.
- Managing the inventory of IT and AV equipment, ensuring everything is organised and up to date.
- Handling procurement, distribution, and storage of audio-visual materials.
- Troubleshooting a broad range of IT and AV issues, providing timely solutions to meet user needs.
What we’re looking for
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- Strong troubleshooting skills in IT, AV, and Unified Communications (UC) systems.
- Experience with Microsoft Teams management, including Teams Rooms and basic user management.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a customer-focused approach.
- Hands-on experience with AV equipment, such as Polycom, Crestron, projectors, and more.
- Calm under pressure, able to resolve issues in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
