Be-IT are working exclusively with a new client in the construction industry on the look out for a Web Developer to join their IT team working on internal applications. This role is on-site just outside of Glasgow.
- Salary - up to £55,000 DOE
- Onsite - Outside Glasgow (Flexibility on offer)
- Not suitable for sponsorship / relocation.
The successful candidate will have the following technical skills:
- Microsoft SQL / MYSQL
- HTML
- CSS
- PHP
- JavaScript
- Linux
Additional Attributes:
- Ability to take an initial idea or concept and develop it into a fully functional solution
- Strong understanding of how new features integrate with team processes and wider business operations
- Willingness to learn a complex, custom-built platform and follow established patterns rigorously
Initial responsibilities will include:
- Testing new fixes to address functional issues, progressing toward user acceptance testing (UAT) support as business knowledge increases.
- Conducting weekly high-level backup and update checks.
- Participating in quarterly BCDR (Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery) testing.
- Handling smaller development tasks to build familiarity with the codebase.
- Supporting project-related activities as required.
Due to the complexity of the system, even an experienced developer will require a minimum of six months during which code changes must be tightly controlled to ensure system stability.
