Be-IT are delighted to be partnering with their logistics client based in Edinburgh on the lookout for Junior Software Engineer to join their team.
Our client was founded in Edinburgh in 2000 and has since grown from strength to strength becoming a leading provider of cloud-based logistics software. Not only are they on a mission to simplify the complex problems which arise in the logistics sector, they are also committed to ensuring their clients are as efficient as possible both from accost and ecological perspective.
Ideal candidates will have skills in:
- Modern design patterns
- Debugging
- Testing (unit to frontend automation)
- API integration
- Agile teamwork
- Quick skill acquisition
- Experience with logistics problem-solving
Preferred languages/systems:
- PHP
- JavaScript (Vue/React Native)

Day to Day:
- Delivering clean, efficient, and well-documented code
- Taking responsibility for smaller engineering challenges from start to finish
- Collaborating with senior engineers to plan, test, and roll out new features
- Troubleshooting and fixing bugs in a structured and supportive environment
- Participating in code reviews and learning best practices from experienced team members
- Applying secure coding practices to protect our platform and data
- Contributing to documentation to support knowledge sharing across the team
- Working on projects using our core tech stack: PHP, JavaScript, SQL, Git
