Our MBO, explained

Since we announced our MBO a couple of weeks ago, we’ve had some great media coverage and lots of lovely messages from clients, colleagues and industry peers. We'ce also had more than a few questions. This should provide the answers...


What’s happened?

Be-IT has been acquired by its own leadership team, headed by (now) CEO Nikola Kelly. Also included is Michael Phair, Matt Druce, Sean Gilger, Christina Hall, Caroline Ross, Stuart Alexander, Freddie Kidd and Kai Murray. The deal was funded with the support of ThinCats, an alternative funding provider.

This puts us in the driving seat for our own future. So it’s an exciting time for us: a new chapter in our story. It’s been almost 10 years since we first brought an IT professional together with a career opportunity. We’ve grown at an impressive pace, weathered everything thrown at us and become the country’s largest privately owned tech recruiter.

Now we’re aiming even higher.


So what changes?

Nothing. Or at least, nothing that impacts our service. There’s no radical restructuring in the works, no sudden shift in our methods or mission in the pipeline.

Whether you’re a tech professional looking for your next role, or a team manager looking for your next hire, you’ll find the same high standards from the same great team. You can turn to us for the same market insight and the same career advice. Operationally, the day-to-day of Be-IT is going nowhere. Everything that you rely on is here to stay.

But we are as ambitious as ever, so growth is most certainly on the agenda. We aim to do even more for and with you – our clients and candidates. We want to give back more, supporting those causes that mean so much to us. We look forward to developing our people more. And that’s all just for starters. There’s a carbon footprint to cut. Efficiencies to find. Market intel to share. We want to move faster, do more and, generally, be the best we can.
