We’re hiring an Engineering Team Lead to join a global technology business with a significant R&D presence in Dundee. This is a hybrid role, offering hands‑on technical leadership alongside genuine ownership of systems, architecture, and team development.
You’ll operate in a true player‑coach capacity—remaining deeply involved in engineering while leading, mentoring, and setting technical direction for a high‑performing team. Collaboration with Product, UX, and DevOps is central, and your judgment will directly shape how complex systems evolve at scale.
You will have ownership of end‑to‑end solutions in scalable, distributed systems and influence over architecture, tooling, and engineering standards
Operating in a cross functional and collaborative team you will work with a range of cutting edge technologies within web based systems and cloud computing
The business has a tech agnostic approach meaning experience within Node, .NET, C#, JavaScript and modern frontend frameworks are highly applicable
Ideal for an experienced engineer ready to lead without stepping away from meaningful technical work
In order to be successful in this position candidates must have experience working across the full stack and experience working with AWS Serverless Architecture or GCP
