Hybrid (2 days per week) Edinburgh or Glasgow

Up to £48,000 DOE

We are exclusively seeking a UX Architect to join our longstanding FinTech Client in either Glasgow or Edinburgh.  This is an exciting opportunity to join a fantastic team who are going through a significant period of growth.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Develop and review technical content for our products and services, including user manuals, online help, release notes, API documentation, and technical guides.
  • Assist the team in delivering tasks by completing your own work and supporting others, collaborating with VP and senior staff on the design and development of our platform's documentation.
  • Advocate for high-quality documentation and its positive impact on our users.

 

Relevant Experience and Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar commercially facing role, with a proven track record of successful user-facing documentation and other technical writing outputs.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in common markup formats such as Markdown, XML, JSON, and HTML/CSS.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools, GitHub, SDLC, and Scaled Agile.
  • Ability to ensure documentation and other technical writing outputs are accurate, consistent, easy to understand, and well-tailored to the audience.
  • Capability to articulate technical matters to non-technical stakeholders and, if necessary, customers.
  • Core tools: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visual Studio/VS Code, PanDocs, MkDocs.

 

Planning and Time Management

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders.
  • Manage multiple complex and potentially competing tasks and priorities.
  • Stay alert to potential risks.

 

Teamwork

  • Work effectively to achieve team goals, regularly consulting with your manager.
  • Keep leads and team members updated on status through daily stand-ups and task/issue tracking.
  • Contribute to the team by consistently delivering high-complexity, high-impact documentation and other technical writing outputs.
  • Foster effective collaboration between teams in different areas of the company.
